Follow the instructions below to brew your own Hong Kong style milk tea at home. Whilst we brew our teas are brewed using the traditional brewing process which can take up to 45 minutes, we understand that not everyone has the equipment or time at home.
As such, we have created a specialty blend so that everyone enjoy a milk tea (or lemon tea) at home.
Hong Kong style milk tea recipe
Ingredients:
Specialty blend tea leaves by CHA DONG
Evaporated milk
Sugar - to taste
Method

Boil 200ml of water in a small saucepan.

Add 2 heaped teaspoons of CHA DONG tea leaves to the boiling water. Stir gently to release the aroma.

Reduce to a gentle simmer for 2 minutes. You’re aiming for small, steady bubbles - not a rolling boil.

Turn off the heat and cover. Let steep for 5 minutes to allow the flavours to fully develop.

Add evaporated milk until the tea reaches a rich, golden brown colour. Adjust to your preferred strength.

Sweeten to taste with sugar. Stir well and enjoy!
